Radiofrequency Applications in Algology:

Algology is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Radiofrequency (RF) applications are a minimally invasive method used in algology to treat chronic pain. In this method, radiofrequency energy is used to destroy or block the nerves or tissues that transmit pain.

Radiofrequency Applications Process:

Radiofrequency applications are usually performed under local anesthesia. During the procedure, a small incision is made in the skin and the radiofrequency electrode is placed on the nerve or tissue transmitting pain. Radiofrequency energy is applied to the electrode. The procedure usually takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
